APRIL 1 

Palatka:

Palatka’s Best Easter egg hunt will be 9 a.m. to noon April 1 at 161 Carter Road, next to the soccer fields in Palatka. The event is free for children through age 12. Participants should bring their baskets or something to collect eggs in. Children will be divided into age groups. Ages 5 and under will start at 9 a.m.; ages 6-9, 10 a.m.; ages 10-12, 11 a.m. Children should arrive 30 minutes prior to their age group’s hunting time to register. Welaka:

Town of Welaka Community Easter Egg Hunt. Welaka will host a town Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. - 1 p.m today at Downtown Park, 101 Palmetto St. in Welaka. 

APRIL 8

Interlachen: 

Bethel Church, 119 N. County Road 315 in Interlachen, across from the high school, will hold its Kids “Run and Tell” Resurrection Celebration and egg hunt starting  at 10 a.m. April 8. Highlights include the real Easter story, games and snacks, petting zoo, Easter egg hunt with nearly 2,000 eggs, free candy and more. The event is for ages pre-school through 12. Interlachen Junior-Senior High School JROTC will hold an Easter egg hunt with special sections for ages 5-14 for elementary and middle school students. There will be a prize for younger kids and older kids grabbing a golden egg and for the Best Bunny outfit/Easter themed outfit. The event is 1-4 p.m. April 8 at the school’s Sid Martin building. Donations will be accepted; no entry fee.

 

Palatka: 

Open Door Church of God, 3704 Crill Ave., will hold its annual Family Egg Hunt 10 a.m. The event is for the whole family and children ages 2-12. Highlights include popcorn, snow cones, games, face painting and lots of candy. The hunts will start one age group at a time so parents with different aged children can enjoy it all. Children should bring a basket or bag to collect eggs and candy as onsite supplies may be limited. Parents must be on the property supervising their children at all times. Hippity Hoppity River Boppity is returning April 8th 10a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Palatka Riverfront at 102 N. First St. From 10 a.m. to noon, families will be able to take photos with the Easter Bunny. From 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., there will be egg hunts for all ages. Come enjoy kid friendly activities throughout the event. Mystic Water Ice and Pretzel will be present onsite.

 In partnership with Legacy Classic Championship Wrestling, Calvary Family Life Center will host an Easter egg hunt and visit with the Easter Bunny, starting at 5 p.m. April 8 at 1414 Bronson St., Palatka. Other highlights include games such as the ring toss, sack races and Minute-to-Win-It. The event is open to children of all ages and light refreshments will be provided. The Legacy Classic will present its “Legacy of the Kingdom” pro-wrestling show will start at 6:30 p.m. General admission is $15, children ages 5-7 is $10 and children under 5 are admitted free. The Ravine Gardens State Park Easter Egg Hunt will be 9-11 a.m. at the park amphitheater on the park drive, 1600 Twigg St. in Palatka. The Easter egg hunt is for ages 0-8. The scavenger hunt is for all ages. Goody bags and prizes will be available while supplies last. Participants can get their picture taken with the Easter bunny. Bring your own camera and basket. The event is free with regular park entry which is $5 per vehicle
