Heavy rain brings flood warning

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a flood warning for northern Putnam County until 6:45 p.m. Friday after several thunderstorms brought heavy rain to the area.

The weather service said flooding is ongoing or expected to begin in the warned area, with between 3-4 inches of rain reported.
