Leland Burroughs Jr. of Interlachen passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of 77 in Palatka, Florida.

Leland was born in Palatka, Florida, on December 17, 1944, to Gertrude and Leland Burroughs. He attended Interlachen High School.

Leland enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, gardening, sitting in the screen room over his pond, teaching his grandkids to shoot, hunt, and fish and just being outdoors. He was an excellent carpenter and had a knack for turning scrap wood into something amazing as well as fixing or “rigging” things to get/keep them working a little longer. He loved gardening especially grafting plants together to mix their characteristics.

He lived a full life and was active until the time of his death.

Leland was predeceased by his parents, Leland and Gertrude Burroughs and his brother, Charles Burroughs. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Vallee, Jessie Prince, and Karen (Troy) Spivey; his daughters, Lisa (Danny) Hall, Bunny Touchton, and Tammy (John) DeLuca; his grandchildren, Sebrina (Billy) Barton, Chris (Emily) Hall, Kayla Fesler, Josh Touchton, Amanda (Zach) Jackson; Johnny (Kayla) DeLuca, Joseph (Patty) DeLuca, Christin DeLuca, Jeff DeLuca, David DeLuca, Justice DeLuca, and Malachi DeLuca; and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 4 p.m. at Whispering Hope Church of God located at 377 South County Road 315, Interlachen, FL 32148.
