Riley Ray Elmore passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the age of 78.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Ann Elmore; son, Scott Whitener; daughter, Tammie Eaton; granddaughter, Kassedy Whitener; grandsons, Wyatt Whitener and Milo Eaton; sisters, Barbara Royal and Beth Miller; and brother, Chet Elmore.
Riley was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Marie Elmore; sisters, Elsie Byers, Gladys Smith and Idell Cox; and brothers, Bill, Estel, and Al Elmore.
Along with Pat, Riley had been a member of Southside Baptist Church for 15 years. Riley served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict. His quiet sense of humor endeared him to all, and he was loved and respected by everyone. He was a kind and loving man, was faithful to God and to his wife Pat. Riley will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Southside Baptist Church on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Pastor Shaun Thomas. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army.
