David H. Thompson

David Hugh Thompson, 64, died unexpectedly Friday, July 4, 2014 at his former wife’s home.

He had traveled to the Crescent City area with his daughter, Vicky, the day before his death, to visit his family and celebrate the Fourth of July when he suffered a heart attack. He lived in Sneads Ferry, N.C., coming from Colliers, W.Va. He worked as a Mill Worker for Collier Steel for 15 years. David loved his family, shooting pool and mowing grass.

He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Saundra Barnhart of Crescent City; a son, David Charles Thompson of Flagler Estates; daughters, Tammy Jo Thompson Graves (Michael) of Dana Point, Calif. and Vicky Rae Thompson of Sneads Ferry, N.C.; brothers, James, Frederick and Carl Thompson, all of W.Va.; four grandchildren: Stacey Clark, Gage Johnson, John Clark and Elaina Thompson.

Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9 at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., with services at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Howard Cox officiating.

Arrangements are under the careful care of Clayton Frank & Biggs Funeral home, Crescent City.

Bruce E. Matchett

Bruce E. Matchett, 59, of Keystone Heights, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at his home unexpectedly of natural causes.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen.

Tesia H. Reid

Tesia Yulinda Hayward Reid, 42, of Daytona Beach, entered the sunset of life on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach.

Arrangements are entrusted to Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel, Palatka.    

Yvonne E. Seal

Yvonne Elizabeth Seal, 77, of Florahome, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home following an extended illness.

Arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.

Jackie B. Stewart

Jackie Brock Stewart, 57, of Jacksonville, who recently had moved to Satsuma, passed away unexpectedly, Friday July 4, 2014 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka.

Masters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
