Jake A. Davis

Jake Andrew Davis, 18, of Bostwick, was called by his Lord Jesus Christ to come home on Thursday, July 17, 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Jake enjoyed trucks, working, the gym, hanging with friends, and was a lover of life and lived it to its fullest. He loved to hold the spotlight of attention. That he did very well by his easy going and joking personality. Jake worked as a cook with Niko’s and Woody’s restaurants.

He is survived by his parents, Billy and Lois “P-nut” Davis, two brothers, Ryan Dean Davis, and his fianceé, Brooke M. Glasford, and Cody William Davis, all of Bostwick, paternal grandparents, Jim and Donna Davis of Bostwick, maternal grandparents, Dave and Darlene Odham of Tennessee, and Jackie and Darlyn Bennett of Palatka, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 21 at Peniel Baptist Church with Brother Steve Sweat officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow in Peniel Cemetery.

Robert L. Rich Jr.

Robert Lee Rich Jr., 81, of Marion, Ky., formerly of Putnam County, passed away Thursday July 17, 2014 at the Crittenden County Hospital. As per Mr. Rich’s wishes there will be no service.

Arrangements were handled by Gilbert Funeral Home of Marion, Ky.

Myriam G. Smither

Myriam G. Smither, 88, of Interlachen passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka following a brief illness.

Masters Funeral Home of Palatka will be announcing the arrangements.

Sheila M. Spittle

Sheila May Spittle, 77, formerly of Satsuma, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Palm Coast. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3 at 1 p.m. at the Palatka Moose Lodge on State Road 100.

Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center is entrusted to the arrangements.
