June C. Story

June Carol “June Bug” Story, 62, of Palatka, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was a native of Mt. Clemens, Mich., and had been a resident of Palatka for the past 12 years, coming from Brazil, Ind. June Bug was a people person who enjoyed seeing her regular customers while working at the Kangaroo on U.S. 17 at West River Road. She was an avid sports fan, and could be heard cheering for the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears. She especially loved watching and attending NASCAR races with her husband, Alan. She was of the Lutheran faith and loved to read her Bible.

Mrs. Story was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Evelyn Ellis Jarrett, and a son, Trevor Mark Smith.

Survivors include her husband of eight years, Alan Story of Palatka; a sister, Judy Fuetter of Palatka; two grandchildren, Trevor “T.J.” Smith and Jennifer Smith; and a family friend, “Aunt” Pearl Eup of Palatka.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the Masters Funeral Home in Palatka. Funeral services are private and burial will follow at a later date in Oak Hill East Cemetery in Palatka.

William E. Taylor

William Earl Taylor, 87, of Palatka, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Crestwood Nursing Center after a stroke in October 2013. He was a native of Orlando and served as a World War II veteran.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Myrtle and Joe Taylor, and by his brothers, Joe, George, Ed, and Buddy Taylor.

He is survived by his sisters, Nelma Woolf, Aletha Barunns and a brother, Jack Taylor. He also had several nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren, Dianne, Ronald, and Rosalyn Perritt.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., July 26 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2009 President St., Palatka.

Bill had requested in lieu of flowers that any donations be given to the Hillcrest Building fund.

Richard J. Arbuckle

Richard J. Arbuckle died July 18, 2014 in Stuart.

Robert Stanley Price, 75, of Welaka, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka following an extended illness.
