The Florida Department of Transportation has announced road closures that are scheduled to take place next week in Putnam County.

There will be daytime lane closures on Memorial Bridge, which connects Palatka and East Palatka, for “routine bridge inspection,” according to a press release from the state agency. The bridge closures will last from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

There will also be lane closures on U.S. 17 from West River Road to the Clay County line because of a resurfacing project.

According to the state, the closures will be carried out from 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. during weekdays.

The closures are “subject to change depending on weather and other unforeseen conditions,” according to the press release. More Department of Transportation information can be found by visiting the FDOT Northeast Florida Facebook page or fdot.gov.
