Application
St. Johns River State College (SJR State) invites its currently prequalified contractors to apply for certificate renewal (RFQ-SJR-07-2019); and, also invites general and site-work (civil) contractors with SREF and public projects experience to apply for a new certificate (RFQ-SJR-08-2019), for calendar year 2020. Prequalification is required to bid on various construction related projects. Anticipated projects include renovation with addition to Bldg. L-Orange Park Campus and Bldg. V-St. Augustine Campus, and various remodeling/renovation projects at college campuses in Palatka, Orange Park and St. Augustine.
To obtain an RFQ specifications document, e-mail a request to Beverly Barker, Director of Capital Contract Management, at
BeverlyBarker@sjrstate.edu. Specify whether request is for renewal or new.
Deadline for receipt of RFQ submissions is 3:00 p.m., Oct. 17, 2019, to St. Johns River State College, Business Office Attn: Beverly Barker, 5001 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL 32177. Submissions must be sealed and identified on the outside with
RFQ-SJR-07-2019 or RFQ-SJR-08-2019 (whichever is applicable) and responder’s name. Faxed, e-mailed (except that portion noted in specs), conditional, late, or responses delivered to the wrong location will not be considered. Responses received by the deadline will be opened publicly at 3:30 p.m., Oct. 17, 2019, in Room A-154 on the SJR State Campus in Palatka.
RFQ submissions received by the deadline will be evaluated in a public meeting at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2019
(RFQ-SJR-07-2019) and at 3:00 p.m. (RFQ-SJR-08-2019), in Room A-152 at SJR State, 5001 St. Johns Ave.,
Palatka, FL. RFQ awards are expected at the DBOT meeting at 2:00 p.m. on Nov. 20, 2019, at SJR State,
Room A-154, 5001 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL. The basis for award of prequalified contractor status is to firms meeting RFQ specifications. SJR State reserves the right to reject any or all responses received, to waive any or all informalities in regards thereto, and to award certificates which are in the best interest of the College.
