The Great St. Johns River Cleanup is a collaboration of new and existing cleanup events and partners with the goal of significantly increasing awareness, participation and the amount of trash that is removed from the St. Johns and its tributaries.

Each county and individual participating in the cleanup is connected by the same magnificent river, and each of effort to help clean and restore the river has an impact that reaches far beyond any individual neighborhoods.

“St. Johns Riverkeeper is excited to launch the Great St. Johns River Cleanup with our county and business partners to coordinate and expand our cleanup efforts and make an even greater impact this year and into the future, explained Meredith Jespersen, Development Director for St. Johns Riverkeeper. “We are beyond grateful to the Bronco Wild Fund for making this work possible.”

New locations will continue to be added to this page and each county’s individual website as the events approach. Volunteers can find the event dates and available cleanup locations for each county by visiting StJohnsRiverCleanup.com.

Even if you can’t attend one of the official cleanup events near you, you can participate by picking up trash in your own neighborhood or local park and sharing your efforts on social media for a chance to win a $1,000 Visa Gift Card from the Bronco Wild Fund.

Between Saturday and April 22, simply share a photo with your trash haul on Instagram to enter with the #StJohnsRiverCleanUp hashtag and tag @sjriverkeeper and @yoursfd.
