What’s white and black and read all over? A newspaper! The Palatka Daily News’ Christmas tree has been decorated for the Festival of Trees.
People can stop by Beck Chevrolet Buick GMC, 1601 Reid St. in Palatka, to vote for their favorite Christmas tree or wreath. Not all trees have been decorated, but people have until Dec. 9 to vote for their favorite trees or wreaths.
Viewing hours are from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
A sheet of voting tickets costs $20, and people can submit tickets for more than one tree. A drawing will be Dec. 9 to see who won each tree and wreath. The trees and wreaths that remain unclaimed will be given to families that cannot afford one this year.
Organizers said it is not too late for people to purchase a tree to decorate in hopes of being raffled.
