Brantley A. Bryan Sr.
Brantley Anderson Bryan Sr., 69, of Satsuma, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at his home following a brief illness.
Brantley was born in St. Augustine and lived in Satsuma for 20 years, coming from Raiford. He served in the Florida National Guard in Palatka for 16 years. He had worked as a corrections officer at Raiford and retired in 1998 after 25 years of service. He was a Baptist and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brantley and Mable Bryan; a sister, Betty Bryan; a brother, Clinton Bryan; and a daughter, Deanna Bryan.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Barbara E. Bryan of Satsuma; two daughters and a son-in-law, Robin and Tommy Baxter of Keystone Heights and Melissa Knowles of Crescent City; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brantley A. Bryan Jr. of Starke and Barney and Wendy Harris of Satsuma; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 (today) at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Gary Munson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Etoniah Cemetery in Bardin.
