Arrel W. Stalnaker
Arrel Wayne Stalnaker, better known as “Wayno,” passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 30, 2016, at Putnam Community Medical Center.
Wayno was 72 years old and resided in Pomona Park. He was born March 5, 1944, in Akron, Ohio. He was famously known for his jokes, which he loved to tell, and no matter how many times he told the same joke, it was always funny. Making people laugh was his hobby, and he sure was good at it. Wayno had a heart of gold, and if he loved you, you knew it and could feel it. Wayno was a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force. He was Mason and Shriner. He retired from the Carpenter's Union in Akron, Ohio. Everyone enjoyed Wayno's company, even people he didn't know. He had a personality like no other and was deeply loved by so many.
He is survived by his mother, Frances A. Durieux, 94, of Pomona Park; sister-in-law, June (Bob) White of Pomona Park; daughter, Mary (Bruce) Bushey; grandkids, Taylor and Bruce Bushey Jr.; great-grandson, Brentley Newhouse, all of Pomona Park; and two half-sisters, Alison Wilson and Arlene Stalnaker of Akron, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his angel, Jane Stalnaker. Wayne and Jane are together yet again, dancing in the sky, watching over their love ones as we carry on their memory and making sure we still crack a joke every now and then in his honor. Wayne knew who loved and cared for him, and all we ask is everyone keeps his family in their thoughts and prayers as they get through this tough moment. The family would like to thank the staff at Putnam Community Medical Center for all their love and care and for treating them like family. The staff went above and beyond, and we couldn't be more thankful.
Memories may be shared with his family on line at www.wattsfuneralhomes.com.
Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center is entrusted the arrangements.
