Donald B. Walker, 86, of Salt Springs, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at his residence following a brief illness.
Donald was born in Ruston, La., and lived the past 35 years in Salt Springs on Lake George. He was owner/CEO of Apex Metal Fabrications, Palatka, Fla., and was still actively working in the business one week prior to his death. He had a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Keven Walker; and adored siblings, Aubrey Walker, Thelma Sieple, and Juanita Went.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Walker; son, Walter Walker (Marlene) of Palatka, Fla.; daughters, Brenda Johnson (William) of Speedwell, Tenn.; Susan Daniel (William) of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; in addition, his 6 grandchildren, Sherry Smith, Kenny Johnson, Allyson Daniel, Leigh Daniel, Aubrey Walker and Hanna Walker.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Maurice Sterling officiating.
