James H. Glenn
James H. Glenn, 76, of Satsuma, formerly of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was a native of Pittsburg, Pa., and lived in Putnam County since 2009, coming from Jacksonville. He worked as a salesman in food sales and was also the former chief of police in Eagle Lake. He loved sports, was an avid Gator and NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing. James was a member of Assembly of God.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Glenn.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Ola Mae Glenn; sons, Randy James Glenn and Timothy Riley Glenn (Sarah); daughter, Tammy Plumley (Randy); sisters, Maryann Peters (Tom) and Robbie Carr; stepchildren, Jeanette Rogers (Paul), Ronald Cumbus (Sarah), Mitchell Cumbus (Patsy), Joyce Norris (Jeff) and Jimmy Todd; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with the Rev. Tom Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill East Cemetery in Palatka. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.
