Juanita F. Johnson
Juanita F. Johnson, 96, entered eternal rest at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
Juanita was born March 17, 1921, in Yelvington to Lujenia and Reid Fields. Her employment history reflects being a housekeeper and laborer, and she worked many years for Maycheck Farms. She enjoyed music, baking, watching professional wrestling, reading the Watch Tower and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Johnson; sons, Sylvester and Ulysses Johnson; and her parents.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories her daughter, Inez Johnson of East Palatka; sons, Frank (Dianne) Taylor Jr. of Palatka and William Smith Jr. of East Palatka; a loving host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Fields of Utica, N.Y.; sisters, Katie Simmons of Jupiter and Amy Taylor of Lawrenceville, Ga.; special friend, Rose Bostic; a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing celebration will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 201 Mission Road in Palatka. Interment rites are private. Visitation hours are noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall.
