Kassie L. Hooten-Brown
Kasandra “Kassie” Leigh Hooten-Brown, 30, died Nov. 18, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, Kan.
She was born Aug. 16, 1986, in Gainesville to Keith and Tracy (Griffis) Hooten. Kassie graduated from Palatka High School in 2006 and attended St. Johns River State College. She worked in the deli department at Fifth and Adams Dillons. Kassie was full of life and loved spending time with her family and friends.
On Feb. 15, 2015, she married Kyle W. Brown in Palatka.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert Hooten, Mitchell Johnson and Brenda Dowling.
Kassie is survived by her husband, Kyle of the home; daughter, Kaci Brown of Hutchinson, Kan.; father, Keith Hooten of Junction City, Kan.; mother, Tracy (Stacey) Dowling of Hawthorne; brother, Steven (Alicia) Kelley of Palatka; sisters, Carrie (Jonathan) Abdo of Leesville, La., and Kristen Raffield of Dublin, Ga.; grandparents, Lawrence Griffis, Patricia (Edward) Osborn, Inge Hooten, Robert (Debra) Dowling and Patrick (Cora) Brickhouse; four nieces; and a nephew.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at First Assembly of God, 3111 St. Johns Ave. in Palatka, with Pastor Ted Stackpole officiating.
