Kodiak L. Spence

Kodiak Lee Spence, 30, of Bradenton, died Sept. 23, 2016, from natural causes.

Kodiak was born Aug. 26, 1986, to Terri Quinby of Interlachen and Robert D. Spence of Gainesville.

He lived most of his life in Putnam County and graduated from Interlachen High School in 2004.

He loved fishing, football, skiing, wakeboarding and surfing. He worked construction and was a brick and block layer.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Ferguson, Meredith Spence and Ora Lee Spence.

Spence leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Terri Quinby, and his stepfather, Dale Quinby; his father, Robert D. Spence; a daughter, Kaiya Elizabeth Spence; siblings, Mark Austin Quinby, Hunter Elliott Spence, Robin Spence, Jayvan Spence, Justin Spence, Tiffany Spence and Robert Spence Jr.; grandmother, Fran Barlow; sisters-in-law, Susan Quinby and Brandi Tyre Spence; and nieces and nephews, Caden Quinby, Kirra Quinby and Brody Spence.

A celebration of life service is planned 3 p.m. Oct. 15 at 399 Sleepy Hollow Drive in Interlachen at Val and Chris Tooles’ place on Hardesty Lake. Friends and family are invited.
