Mother Hilda Crawford Parker

Mother Hilda Crawford Parker, 100, of Damascus, Ga., to Fannie Baldwin-Crawford and Major Crawford Sr. Hilda attended public school in Georiga. Hilda was united in holy matrimony to William H. Parker in Palatka, Fla., on Aug 14, 1944. Hilda lived in Onancock, Va., for many years and joined the St. John Baptist Church serving on the Usher Board, the choir ministry, and kitchen committee. Hilda lived in Newark, NJ where she joined the Little Friendship Baptist Church of Newark, N.J., serving on all the previous mentioned boards. Hilda moved to Palatka and joined The Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in East Palatka. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Major and Ms. Baldwin; grandsons, James and Jeffrey Sr.; siblings, Bennie Lee, Doris, William, Costell, and Josephine. Hilda entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 31, 2019.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted daughter, Frankie Mae Crawford Frazier of East Palatka; two brothers, Irvin Crawford Sr., Newark, NJ, Robert Crawford, Chesapeake VA; two sisters, Ruby Phillips, Newark NJ, Vivian Tinsley, Newark NJ; grandson, Jerome Crawford Sr. ( Betty); granddaughter-in-law, Lorraine Crawford; 11 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren; and a host of neices and nephews. Celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 100 5th St., East Palatka, FL, the Rev. Hayward, pastor and eulogist. Viewing for friends and the public will begin at 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Pattersonville Cemetery.
