Robin Ashe Curry
Robin Renee Ashe Curry, 61, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life Monday, July 2, 2018, at Florida Hospital in DeLand.
A native of Palatka, she was born Monday, April 29, 1957, to Leo and Barbara “Sug” (Ashe) Blue Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Crescent City and a 1975 graduate of Crescent City Junior-Senior High School. Robin was a very outgoing lady and worked for many years as an agricultural laborer, working many years under the guidance of her father, Deacon Leo Blue, a well-known labor contractor. She was a member of Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Elder H. Harry Banks. Robin enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Robin was preceded in eternal rest by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sisters, Pamela (Pastor Emanuiel) Roberts Sr. of Crescent City, Christell Thomas, Shelia Black and Tammy Bowles, all of Palatka; brothers, Walter (Barbara) Blue of Waycross, Ga., Larry (Stacey) Blue and Leo Blue Jr. of Crescent City and Cassius Small of Muncie, Ind.; aunts, Essie Mae Thomas Miller of Orlando, Sherry (Corry) Williams of Middleburg and Carolyn Edwards of Daytona Beach; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14 with a celebration of Robin’s life 1 p.m. at Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1150 Huntington Road in Crescent City, Elder H. Harry Banks, pastor. Her nephew, Elder Derrick Blue, pastor of New Beginnings Church of God by Faith in Plant City, is the eulogist.
