Rosetta J. Brown
Rosetta Jackson Brown, 71, of Palatka, began her eternal life Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Palatka Health Care in Palatka.
The daughter of the late Roosevelt and Lorine Jackson, she was a loyal member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Deaconess Board, choir No. 2 and as president of the pastor’s aide ministry. She was a 1963 graduate of C.C. Smith in Fayetteville, N.C. She was employed with Putnam County Public Works for many years.
Preceding her in death, other than her parents, is her sister, Cordelia Pierce.
To cherish her memories are her husband, Deacon Eddie Lorenza Brown of Palatka; daughters, Zethlia Felicia Jackson of Atlanta, Michelle L. Jackson, Melinda (Reginald) Brown and Kimberly Y. Clark, all of Palatka; sister, Girthia Ellis of Palatka; brothers, Willie J. (Sheridan) Jackson of Palatka and Lewis Lembric of Citra; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and loving friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5–8 p.m. (today) Friday, May 27 and 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at D.A. Boyd & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28 at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. Anthony Q. Robinson, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka.
