Tarveris D. Keenon
Tarveris D. “Buster Green” Keenon, 34, a native of Putnam County and a lifelong resident of Palatka and Hastings, Fla. The son of Mr. Lancy L. Keenon, Sr. and Ms. Doreata McGee Keenon, was born Tuesday, July 24, 1984, in Palatka, Florida. He was educated in the Putnam County School District and was a 2003 graduate of Palatka High School. He attended St. Johns River State College. He was employed with UPS in St. Augustine as a package handler, McDonalds, and was security for Water Management of Palatka, before his health failed. Tarveris was passionate about his children, loved to work on cars and was an awesome cook. He enjoyed going fishing and hanging out with his family and friends. He entered into eternal rest on May 29, 2019.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his grandparents, Eugene and Ferline Keenon, Dan and Martha McGee; great grandmother, Dora Singleton; aunts, Joan Keenon Ellis, Deloris Williams, Yvonne Singleton, Cassandra Session; uncle, Eugene Keenon; and godmother, Pam Montgomery.
He leaves to cherish the memories, a loving mother, Doreata “Penny” Keenon; father, Lancy (Renee) Keenon; his children, Javoent’e, Roashme, Tarvarian, T’Asia, Aalai’la, Aala’lyn, D’Yana, and Dariyah; brothers and sisters, Laveras (Ardelia), Timothy, Lancy, Jr. (Tammaliah), Terrance (Keturia), Andre, Larontae, Travis (Precious), Tanganykia (Robert), Jasmine, Mercedes (Gary), Porsha , Betty, Candice and Tori; aunts and uncles, Pastor Rutha Murray, Diane Clark, Rosa McGee, Barbara Jenkins, Brenda Jones, Audrey “Tina” Keenon, Dan (Queen) McGee, Gerald (Rose) McGee, Vernon (Ruth) Keenon; special loved one, Laquita Wilson; like a mother, Evoski Tucker and Myra Styles; special cousins, Jennifer Smith and Laronda Session; special uncle, Elvis Clark and Richard Carr (always took time to assist him); and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 719 Reid Street, Palatka, FL, Rev. James McGriff, Pastor and Rev. Sandra Gilyard of New Bethel A.M.E. Church, San Mateo, Fla., is the Eulogist. Viewing for family and friends will be Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the E. W. Lawson & Son Chapel and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
