Trina C. Hammond
Trina Chaney Hammond, 49, of Palatka, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Friday, May 10, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.
Trina was born at Glendale Hospital in Palatka, where she was a lifelong resident. She was a 1988 graduate of Palatka High School. She worked as a secretary and with computers and was very proficient at what she did. She enjoyed the outdoors, four-wheeling, dancing and especially spending time with her girls and family. She was a member of Church of the Heights (formerly First Assembly of God) in Palatka, and in her younger days, she attended Calvary Baptist Church in Palatka.
Preceding her in death were her father, Charles Frankie Chaney, and her grandmother, Violet P. Sapp.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Janice and Don “Papa Don” Robinson; four daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Alex Santana, Tayler and Kent Wilkinson, Faith Troiano and Abigail Hammond; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles E. and Gerlinde Chaney and Randy and Tammy Chaney; a sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Clay Ward; nieces, nephews and spouses, Edward, Kasaundra, Morgan, Tara and Mike, Trent and Mikayla, Courtney and Zech, and Jan; two great-nephews; and three great-nieces.
Calling hours will be 6–8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15 at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Chaplain Ricky Bybee officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Interlachen.
