Willie Mae Wright
Mother Willie Mae Wright, 81, of Palatka, Fla., was born in Atlanta, Ga., on Dec., 25, 1937, to Ellen Tobler and Leroy Robinson. She attended public school in Georiga and moved to Florida to raise two children. She was a homemaker, frequently visiting various churches in the community. She loved decorating her house and land working in her flower garden.
Mrs. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Leroy Robinson, Ms. Ellen Tobler; father of her children, Mr. George Deering; daughter, Dian Gordon, Hurbert Tobler Sr.; grandaughter, Joyce S. Deering; grandson, Roy June Deering; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Samuel Wright; her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Roy(Fannie) Deering; two granddaughters, Tanisha Gibbs, Theresa Presley (Cedric) of Orlando, Fla.; three grandsons, Timothy Harris (Jakesha), Kevin Harris (La’shawn), Christopher Harris (Alison) of Palatka, Fla; two great-grandaughters, Jabaria Cartos (Patrick) of Fort Bragg, N.C., Kyla Presley of Orlando, Fla.; 21 grandchildren, two nieces, Grace Smallwood (Fredie) of Baxter Ga., Elouise Lewis of Palatka, Fla.; two nephews, Sivester Tobler (Shalonda) of Fort Myers, FL, Hurbert Tobler Jr. (Nancy) of Palatka; and a host of cousins and friends. Celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. June 15, 2019, at Pentecostal Church Of God In Christ, 624 N. Ninth St. in Palatka, Fla., with Pastor Earl Mathews. Viewing for friends and the public will be 5–7 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 (today) at Boyd & Sons Chapel, 924 Reid St. in Palatka, Fla.
