Whit H. (Holley) Britt, 80, passed away Oct. 28, 2021, at Estelle’s House hospice in Ocala, Fla., after a long and courageous battle with a number of debilitating conditions. 

Betty Joyce Elliott, 80, of Palatka, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following a brief illness. 

Theresa Louise Nelson, 62, of Seville, died Thursday morning, Nov. 4, 2021, at Advent Health in Daytona Beach after a long illness.

Douglas Dwayne “Doug” Opsal, 60, of Interlachen, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka following a yearlong battle with prostate cancer. 

Robert Austin “Bob” Crippen, 94, of Salt Springs, passed away Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at his residence following an extended illness.

Carolyn Annie Fountain, 60, of Elkton (Armstrong Community), entered the sunset of life Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center-South, Jacksonville.

Waymon T. Holmes affectionately known as “Cuda” was born Nov. 3, 1946, to Clarence “Bobby” James and Geraldine Holmes in St. Augustine. He attended public school in New York.

Earnestine Johnson, 85, a lifelong resident of Palatka, was born June 12, 1936, to Wesley Roberts Sr. and Rosa Lee Shackelford.

Shawn Eugene Perry was born March 30, 1975, to Paul Mitchell and Gladys Eubanks in Palatka. He had a heart of gold with his selfless devotion of always giving to others.

Shirley Jean Dumas Ruth, 69, a native of Palatka, was born Sunday, Feb. 3, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Lee Arthur and the late Rochelle Marie Dumas.
