College athletics: Founding AD, coach Tuten dies
William H. “Bill” Tuten, who launched the St. Johns River Junior College athletic program in 1958 and coached the basketball and golf teams to national tournament appearances, died Friday at Crestwood Nursing Center in Palatka after a lengthy illness. He was 87.
