A two-car vehicle crash left a 74-year-old Bostwick man dead Monday morning, officials from Florida Highway Patrol reported.

The agency said vehicle one, with the 74-year-old driver, was stopped at the intersection of West River Road and facing east in the driveway of 882 West River Road in Bostwick. The second vehicle was reportedly traveling southbound on West River Road.

Highway Patrol stated the 74-year-old driver “turned left into the path” of vehicle two, of which a 20-year-old was reportedly driving with a 17-year-old passenger.

The front of vehicle one struck the front of the second vehicle. According to the highway patrol report, the first vehicle, which the 74-year-old man had been driving, “came to final rest on the roadway facing south.” The second vehicle came to a stop on the shoulder of West River Road facing south.

The 20-year-old and 17-year-old reportedly sustained no injuries. The 74-year-old man’s family had been notified of his death.
