Whether you’re looking to grab some photos with Santa Claus before Christmas or hoping to sing some carols, Putnam County’s the place to be this weekend.
Check out what’s going on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday
- Crescent City’s Christmas in the Park
- Eva Lyon Park, 100 S. Summit St.
- 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- The event will feature Christmas activities, games, food and caroling.
- Holiday Sing-Along at Melrose Center
- 307 State Road 36 in Melrose
- 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Hosted by lee Kelly & Billy Ennis.
- Photos with Santa Claus at the Palatka Horsemen’s Club
- 181 Horseman’s Club Road in Palatka.
- 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Photographer Shanna Whittington will be taking the photos, which will include at least three pictures for $15.
- For those bringing small pets, they should be on a leash or in a pet carrier. Families with horses can also participate.
- Proceeds from the pictures will go to the club.
- The club’s games series will start at 10 a.m. Saturday and run until about noon.
- Palatka’s Jingle Jam
- Riverfront Park, 100 Memorial Parkway
- 3-8 p.m.
- Santa & Mrs. Claus will be in attendance at 3:30 p.m.
- Fireworks are set for 8 p.m.
- Mayor Hill’s Toy Drive will be going on and people are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy.
- Toys will be distributed locally.
- Bonnie Melrose Christmas Parade of Lights
- 2-8 p.m.
- There will be a festival at Heritage Park in Melrose starting at 2 p.m.
- Photos with Santa Claus start at 3 p.m. People should bring their own cameras or phone.
- A flag-raising ceremony is at 5 p.m.
- The Christmas parade begins at 6 p.m.
- Santa Claus at Hitchcock’s Market in East Palatka
- 164 U.S. 17 in East Palatka.
- 1-4 p.m.
- Bring a camera for photos.
- Hoggy Holidays Christmas Market
- Rooterville, 1208 County Road 315 in Melrose
- 4-7 p.m.
- Tickets are a $10 donation and can be bought online at rooterville.org
- O, Come, Emmanuel! play
- The Church of Welaka, 638 Third Ave.
- 6 p.m.
- A musical celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior.
