Food, games, music and information will be in abundance Saturday at an event to celebrate Putnam County’s military veterans.

The Vets Freedom Fest will be 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Putnam County Fairgrounds, 118 Fairground Road in East Palatka.

Hosted by Hillcrest Baptist Church, the event will feature barbecue, a bounce house for children, an antique vehicle cruise-in and information booths sharing information about benefits for veterans.

The public is invited to attend. Veterans and their immediate family will eat for free. Meals for non-veteran adults will be $8. People 12-18 can purchase meals for $4, while children younger than 12 will eat for free.

All proceeds from the event go to benefit veterans.

For information, call 386-546-9126 or visit vetsfreedomfest.org.
