Ford Motor Co. officials have honored Beck Ford with an award given to only the top 10% of Ford dealerships nationwide.
The Palatka dealership received the President’s Award for 2020, and General Manager Brian Freeman said this is the first time the store was recognized.
“We have a great team here and it takes a village to run it,” he said. “It’s a true team effort.”
Freeman said the award is a big deal and not given just for selling the most cars but for customer service, too.
Having worked at Beck Ford for three years, Freeman said other dealerships where he previously worked have received this award.
Ford Motor Co. vice presidents sent Beck Ford a letter saying the location “embodied the founding principles” of the company.
“This honor signifies your dealership team’s exceptional performance and outstanding accomplishments,” company officials wrote. “… Our admiration and appreciation goes out to everyone on the team for their outstanding efforts and continuing dedication to building a strong reputation for the Ford brand.”
Freeman said Beck Ford employees were honored and presented with a plaque at a celebration dinner May 13. The achievement is even more notable for the Beck team because they received the award for work done during a pandemic year, Freeman said.
“I was exceptionally proud of the team for putting that together, you know. We did it when the world was in craziness,” Freeman said. “… From our shuttle bus driver up to my office, it’s a full team deal.”
