Business and government leaders in Putnam County celebrated the opening of LongHorn Steakhouse, 501 State Road 19 in Palatka, on Monday afternoon. The restaurant opened at 3 p.m., but officials participated in a rope-cutting ceremony that started an hour earlier.
During the ceremony, the company donated money to the Bread of Life soup kitchen, a city commissioner took the first bite of the location's first official steak and attendees got a taste of other items that are being sold at LongHorn in Palatka.
