Most Putnam County post offices will remain closed Wednesday, but service will resume at 8 a.m. at the Interlachen, Hollister, Florahome and Grandin post offices, with post offices in Hawthorne and Melrose to remain open. In addition, the post office in Orange Springs, which serves some Putnam County residents though it is located in Marion County, will open Wednesday.

Barring a dramatic change in the intensity and course of Hurricane Dorian, officials expect all post offices serving Putnam County residents to be open and delivering mail Thursday. Delivery of the Palatka Daily News to subscriber affected by the storm-related closures will begin receiving their newspapers again, include any copies missed. Call the circulation department at 386-312-5200 for more information.
