A woman died Thursday evening after a sports utility vehicle and a bicycle collided, authorities reported.

The crash occurred at about 5:54 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 17 and Shady Oaks Drive in Satsuma, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. The crash involved a 63-year-old man driving a Nissan Xterra and a 47-year-old woman riding a bicycle, according to FHP.

The Pomona Park man, who had been wearing a seatbelt during the crash, did not sustain any injuries, FHP reported. The woman, who was from Satsuma, had not been wearing a helmet and “succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash,” Trooper Timothy Frauenhofer wrote in the crash report.

The two-sentence FHP report did not list the names of the people involved or how the crash occurred.
