Juanita Victoria Oxendine Wright, 85, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at AdventHealth Deland Hospital.

The daughter of Lewis, Sr. and Sally Oxendine, she was born on Monday, September 13, 1937 in Georgetown, FL. Juanita was educated in the Putnam County School District. She was a member of Pleasant Grove AME Church, Georgetown. She retired as a laundry aide at Lakeshore Nursing Home, Crescent City. Juanita enjoyed reading, watching game shows, gardening, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Bernard Wright, Sr.; daughter, Ramona (Arvin) Johnson; brother, Rollie McMillian; sister, Jerrie Mae Oxendine.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters and son, Janice (Robert) Wright, Atlanta, GA; Debra (Robert) Murphy, Patricia (Arthur) Young, Brenda (fiancé, Michael) Mims, all of Deland, Bernard (Ayeshia) Wright, Crescent City; stepdaughter, Tiffany (Justin) Johnson; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Lewis Oxendine; sister, Jessie Lee Richardson; godchildren, Wanda Walker, Bridgett Hawkins; aunt, Ophelia Walker; godsiblings, Harriet Vanshyle, Victoria Clemons, Carolyn Mills, Charles Millege, Lawrence Millege; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.  

Visitation of family and friends will be held 12-2 p.m. with a Celebration of Life commencing at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church (South Campus), 608 Randolph Street, Crescent City, Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor.
