Michael Dwayne “Mikey” Ennis, 22, of Satsuma, passed from this life unexpectedly from natural causes on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Mikey was born in Jacksonville and had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County. He was a 2018 graduate of Putnam Edge High School and received his professional Culinary Arts and Hospitality Degree from First Coast Technical College in 2020. He was working as a convenience store clerk. Mikey loved the outdoors and especially fishing.  He had been a member of Junior Bass Masters and Bass Masters and had also been involved with the Palatka Fire Explorers. Mikey will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his big heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Angela Rae Ennis and Pete Driggers.

Mikey is survived by his mother and step-father, Dana and Steve Jepson; his father and step-mother, Michael and Kayla Ennis; his sisters, Samantha Ennis, Jessica Millan, Shaylee Ellison and Karlie “Karl” Ennis; brothers, Nick Jepson (Kyleigh) and Trenton Ellison; paternal grandmother, Nancy Driggers; a nephew, Finn Jepson; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Services celebrating Mikey’s life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Adam George officiating. Burial will follow at Bostwick Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Putnam Animal Control, 174 County Landfill Road, Palatka, FL  32177 or to S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue of Putnam County, P.O. Box 188, Hollister, FL  32147.
