Ramon Baquera Gardea

Ramon Baquera Gardea, 56, died Saturday, December 3, 2022, from injuries he received in an automobile accident north of Pomona Park.

Ramon was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and came to live in the Crescent City area over 30 years ago coming from Texas.  He was a very gifted artist with talents in painting, drawing, and sculpting. His pictures were so detailed and true-to-life you would believe they were photographs. He was a loyal employee with Producers Ace Hardware in Crescent City but the best part of his life as spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. They were his world.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Devin) Roberts; brothers, Jesus (Lucina) Baquera, Carlos (Lenny) Baquera; and sisters, Beatrice (JR) Payne, Lupe Baquera and Laura Alacron. His beloved grandchildren, Isaac, Elena, and Roman Roberts.

His family and friends will gather at the funeral home for his Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Homes in Crescent City.
