Thelma Mae Smith was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1943 to Leo and Rachel Mae Baldwin. She was a loving person who loved her family and raised her grandkids. She was a devoted usher at St. James Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed at First Baptist Church of Bunnell and Flagler County Housing Authority.

She enjoyed cooking/baking, sewing, arts and crafts, knitting and word puzzles. She also enjoyed creating things for others. She loved serving the community. She had a heart of gold.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her husband, Stoney Smith; son, Raymond Smith; brothers, Frank Baldwin Sr. and Shelly Gene Baldwin.

She leaves to cherish her many memories: daughter, Jessica Marie Smith; grandchildren, Remus L. (Jennifer) Smith, Felicia (James) London, Tyran Smith, Cornelius Baker, Jessica Holiday; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild, A’saiah L’herisson; sisters-in-law, Rose Baldwin and Roberta Smith; close friends, Gladys Brooks, Sally Gordon; special friend, Marie Smith; and a host of extended family and friends.

The Smith family received friends and the community 5-6 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2022, at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, Bunnell. A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 19 (today), at Holy Temple. Interment: Masonic Cemetery in Palm Coast.
