Palatka’s biggest fishing tournament won’t be returning this February, B.A.S.S. officials confirmed. 

Palatka’s Cliff Prince is in first place after day one of Bassmaster Elite Series at Lake Fork, Texas, bagging 32 pounds, five ounces of fish, according to Bassmaster.com.

The Bassmaster AFTCO Elite Series anglers arrived in numbers this Sunday morning, bringing a cup running over with talent.

As anglers, staff and tourists descend on Palatka for the Bassmaster Elite fishing tournament beginning on Thursday, Putnam County anticipates a $4 million boost to its economy.
