Hawthorne neighbors had been complaining about the dogs who attacked an 86-year-old woman last week for more than a year, documents show.

A United States Army veteran and Hawthorne woman sustained “significant” injuries and had to be hospitalized after two dogs attacked her Friday, authorities said.
