Though I don’t live within the Palatka city limits, I have been following the search for a new city manager as that potential hire will affect every resident of Putnam County.
The whispers began in 2023. Whispers then evolved to talk, with many people actively discussing players, the game and the eventual victors.

As Palatka officials look toward the future, they want the input of the people who call this city home.
I am reminded how much I appreciate every single person who has supported Putnam Habitat for Humanity in 2023 through volunteerism, in-kind donations and financial contributions.
Our city is on fire with bitter conflict. The Palatka City Commission has dug in their heels to stop any positive movement forward. An experienced city manager? Forget it. A Main Street program?
The area recently received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the federal government to aid in the revitalization of the Putnam County Barge Port in Palatka.
The Putnam First Cancer Fund recently received $26,000 in donations to help patients offset treatment costs.
