CRESCENT CITY – Young people in South Putnam County stepped into the next chapter of their lives as they graduated high school Thursday night.
Putnam County high schoolers could spend their summer working with their hands and making money with a masonry apprenticeship.

CRESCENT CITY – Six months ago, the New Moon Masonic Lodge building here had one foot in a grave.
Sam Deputy spent his childhood in downtown Palatka’s Graphics II print shop.
“We were pouring lead in elementary school,” Deputy said of himself and his six siblings.
A cyclist was flown to the hospital Tuesday morning after authorities say he collided with a van just west of Palatka.
