Protesters rallying Saturday to relocate the Confederate statue from the Putnam County Courthouse are switching up the time and location to avoid conflict. 

Palatka recently won the Florida Citizenship Award for increasing civic awareness and “encouraging a better understanding of race relations.” 

The state Department of Health in Putnam County reported 25 positive COVID-19 cases and one death Thursday, which brought the total number of local cases to 1,446.
