Norma L. Joseph, 88, passed away Sept. 8, 2021, due to a stroke.

Norma met her husband in Opelousas, La., where they married and lived in 1954. She was married for 67 years.

Born on Sept. 28, 1951, to Mary Francis Robinson in Hastings, Fla., she graduated class of 1969 at  Walter E. Harris High School. She and Darwin Tongol joined in marriage over 22 years ago.

Kenneth Lamar Shorter Sr., 53, a lifelong resident of Palatka, passed away Aug. 28, 2021, following a brief illness.

Melissa Francel Tucker was born in Dover, Del., on Sept. 10, 1979, to Willie Mae Tucker and Eddie Williams. She received her education in the St. Johns County School District.

Mr. Keith Allen Briggs, 39, of Hastings (formerly Adams, Mass.), answered his heavenly call Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Orange Park Medical Center.

Kent Robert Trevorah, 57, of Crescent City, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.

Robbin Lanay Ball, 56, of Palatka, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at her residence following a brief illness.

James “Jim” Bays, age 74, of Palatka, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at his home after a long illness.

Jason Lieland Black, age 47, of Palatka, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness.

John Kenneth Blahak, 86, of East Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Oak View Rehab Center in Orange Park following an extended illness.
