Palatka is getting a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development for a study regarding its economy and ability to create new and grow existing businesses.
The Palatka Lions Club intended to give its building to a local nonprofit, but language in the deed gives the building to the city if the building isn’t used for “Lions Club purposes.”
Four Putnam County Fire Rescue and Emergency Medical Services employees celebrated 20 or more years of service to the county last week.
Putnam County nonprofit organizations affected by the coronavirus pandemic could receive up to $4,000.
Although it was a tough call to make, Putnam County School District officials said, middle school sports have been postponed until spring.
